We are aware of an issue affecting some customers who use POP on old software/operating systems to connect to their email accounts. This issue began occurring after a recent cPanel update, which included changes to the underlying mail service (Dovecot).</p>

<p>12:20 - cPanel are still investigating this issue regarding this version of Dovecot and will post any further updates upon their investigation. Priority is to ensure uptime as much as possible for this while they continue to investigate source of this bug.

<p>11:19 - Issue has been observed and recurring. We are still awaiting update from cPanel regarding this.</p>
<p>10:50 - An issue has been identified with Dovecot authentication and this will be monitored closely to preserve uptime of mail services. The workaround has appeared to resolve this issue but we are following up with cPanel in relation to this.</p>

<p>21:03 - Snapshot is complete with series of reboots being carried out to review applied Windows Server hotfixes/updates. ETA for this work is 1 hour with service fully restored after this period.</p>
<p>17:42 - Snapshot is awaiting completion with additional work to restore service being carried out. ETA of further work will be updated within the next hour and hope to have the server fully restored as soon as possible.</p>
<p>14:50 - We are currently running a backup of the server before proceeding with a reboot to apply updates. The current Eta for the backup is 3-5hours.</p>
<p>12:08 - We are still reviewing and hope to further update once remediation plan is in place and are working to restore service as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience on this.</p>
<p>09:35 - We have determined the underlying cause in one Windows service and we are working to restore this server and reapply hotfixes/updates. Currently we do not have an ETA of resolution at this time but we will update this status with further information as soon as available.</p>
